"Quest to Japan" photo project completed

Fri Apr 11, 2008, 12:35 PM
Last summer I went to the land of the rising sun to learn about the culture, further develop my knowledge of the language, get to know the people, and have a great time overall. I succeeded in everything I wanted to do, and more! While I brought my new digital camera along with me with the intention of doing nothing more than keeping visual record of my time there, I soon realized that it was a fantastic opprotunity to capture some truly striking visuals forever!

Do you like photography? I hope so, because this ' project ' of sorts led me to having a collection of 600+ photographs of Japan's landscapes, nature and true stifling beauty. While not nearly this amount of photos are usable for this deviantart account (alot of blurred and pointless photos were takan along with the really great ones, Hey, I was a tourist first and foremost, after all.), a good amount of them turned out well enough to be included here, I think. I am quite proud of the points of view and perspectives and locations I ended up discovering through my camera lens, and now I am hoping to share at least a little bit of my experiences with all of you!

A good amount of these photos are so good, I'm submitting them as prints, puzzles, coasters, mugs, etc. While I of course don't require anyone to buy my prints, I do admit that some generous purchases would be very beneficial to me and much appreciated. Financially comfortable, I am not, so any small amount of my prints sold would be quite helpful to my living expenses and the like. But hey, even if you can't/won't pay for some high quality prints (and these things are quite nice-looking, if I do say so myself), I would still be overjoyed to recieve detailed comments on my sumbitted photos. So please, whether you are a buyer, or merely a browser, I urge you to take a look at my quickly-growing gallery of photography from Japan!

Enjoy.
